The Elderslee Community Facility project included a comprehensive upgrade to the facility’s electrical infrastructure. The work included the demolition and removal of outdated electrical components, modifications to the main switchboard to accommodate a new electrical configuration, and the installation of fire-rated submains and new distribution boards. Extensive cable management systems were implemented, including new fire-rated cable trays. The project also saw the successful installation of internal and external lighting, general power outlets, and emergency and exit lighting, ensuring enhanced safety and functionality. An advanced energy monitoring system was introduced, along with upgraded fire detection and communications systems.

Project Specifications

  • Demolition: Removal of outdated electrical components and fittings.
  • Switchboard Modifications: Upgraded main switchboard to accommodate new electrical configurations.
  • Submains Installation: Installed new fire-rated submains for Distribution Board 3.
  • Cable Management: Implemented new fire-rated cable trays and comprehensive cable management systems.
  • Distribution Boards: Supplied and installed three new distribution boards, including the relocation and reconnection of cabling.
  • Lighting: Installed internal and external lighting, general power outlets, emergency and exit lighting.
  • Energy Monitoring System: Introduced advanced energy monitoring with private energy metres.
  • Fire Detection and Communications: Upgraded fire detection systems and installed necessary communications conduits.
