Matthew Ford

Field Service Manager

Matthew began his career as an electrician in 2007, working for a small company that specialised in both commercial and residential projects, including factory wiring and new home constructions. After completing his apprenticeship in 2010, he moved to Western Australia in search of opportunities in the mining industry. During his five years in Karratha, he installed electronically controlled pneumatics on ore rail cars and later transitioned into mining construction and maintenance. A key career achievement was overseeing the electrical installation for two 28-million-litre diesel tanks and the associated electrical package at the Parker Point refuelling terminal as a Site Foreman.
Upon returning to the Central Coast, Matthew subcontracted on hospital and residential projects before joining DNA for the Glengara aged care development. He later returned to Western Australia as a fly-in, fly-out electrician for mine site maintenance until COVID-19 travel restrictions. Back on the Central Coast, he worked on new builds and renovations for Woolworths and Coles stores, reuniting with DNA and transitioning to a service technician role. Excelling in machine repairs and technical tasks, Matthew was promoted to his current position as Field Service Manager by the DNA directors.
